We are seeking to hire a GGRE (Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering) IT Sr. Analyst in Houston, TX (prefer local candidates)
Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering (GGRE) IT organization provides GGRE IT strategy, roadmap & governance, application & workflow practices and support, Global Portfolio management & execution support to Geoscience and Reservoir Engineering staff.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
GGRE IT Sr. Analyst is accountable for building relationship with Geoscience and Reservoir Engineering staff primarily in Global Technical Functions (GTF) organization, management of projects with varying scale; understanding both GG, RE and IT requirements; facilitating communication across disciplines, and ensuring that IT solutions are executed in line with the GGRE capability priorities.
The analyst will work closely with Global Technical Functions (GTF) to execute Digital Enablement activities associated with delivering Fiber Optic Workflows and Platform Modernization in support Alaska’s Willow Development. Additionally, they will partner with Willow Digital Team to consult and execute GGRE focused initiatives in service of Willow Development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of fiber optic workflows, subsurface modelling business processes and workflows to document requirements for digital solutions delivery.
• Develop and maintain detailed business process models, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Lead solutions assessment and evaluation, develop evaluation decision criteria, solution selection criteria.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams and collaborate extensively with GTF to drive strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives.
• Coordinate with Enterprise and Alaska Digital Teams in solving complex data, solution design challenges associated with a diverse range of G&G data and application systems, in service of cross functions (GG, Planning, Wells) integration and collaboration.
• Direct business unit point of contact and project manager for GGRE data and application integrations, interoperability, and modifications.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on newly designed data, applications & analytics solutions.
• Manage G&G Software Portfolio, Budget. Provide input in overall GGRE Roadmap.
• Lead Project & Resource planning & execution in support for projects tied to GGRE Roadmap and Alaska Willow Development Strategy.
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Geosciences, Computer Science, Management, Information Systems, or other technical discipline, or foreign equivalent
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the upstream oil and gas industry
Preferred Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience collaborating with Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering domains and having familiarity with their workflows and problems.
• Knowledge of Geoscience & Reservoir Engineering workflows, terminology, and software (Petrel, Techlog, Intersect, DELFI, etc.).
• Intermediate level of knowledge of Cloud Environment, SaaS Solution Model.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Proficiency in Agile methodology, business analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Jira, Power BI, and project management software.
• Proficiency in Software Portfolio Management & Vendor Engagement.
• Proficiency in OSDU industry standard, data management, solution architecture and IT security.
• Understands and anticipates the needs of clients and stakeholders. Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals.

This will be a yearlong project, and the selected candidate will need to be onsite day 1 and will work 9/80 schedule (If one works 9 days and gets 80 hours, they get every other Friday off.)
